My Pod

This week I put out the final episode of the Ice Man series. A lot to talk about. I finally divulged that Richard....seems to have lied about everything...

If you're interested in checking out the Ice Man Confessions on youtube, I highly suggest. You tell me if he seems like a big fat liar.

You can watch or listen to this episode on Apple, Spotify or Youtube.

And maybe subscribe to us on youtube, if you want :)

New video of the Fuccis

I always knew that this video footage existed, but to my knowledge, it's only just been released to the public. And it's pretty jarring.

I mentioned this footage in my podcast episode about Aiden Fucci and Tristyn Bailey, but seeing it is fascinating. You can just tell from the way the parents are questioning him, they know that he killed Tristyn.

And the chilling way that Aiden sits and hardly answers their questions is just so eerie. Obviously the most damning aspect of the video is when Aiden's mother, Crystal, asks Aiden what pants he was wearing that night, and he replies that it was a pair of jeans. Then Crystal mentions that she looked at the home's video surveillance system, and was sure that he was actually wearing khaki pants. *wink wink*.

Of course we know that after this interaction, Crystal went home, and washed the jeans that Aiden actually wore that evening, and filmed herself doing it. Like a damn idiot. After forensic testing, it was determined that blood was present on the jeans and in the sink.

We're still waiting for the results of her trial, she was charged with tampering with evidence.

ICYMI, Aiden Fucci was sentenced to life in prison last Friday, for the BRUTAL murder of 13 year old Tristyn Bailey. At 16, life is a very long time...

It ain't over til it's over

Man oh man. This case never ends! Adnan Syed is back in the news, and this time, it's because his guilty verdict has been REINSTATED. Damn. Why? Well, the Maryland appellate court voted 2-1 to reinstate the guilty verdict as they felt that the lower court had violated the victim's family's right to attend the hearing.

The family of Hae Min Lee were adamant about delaying the hearing so that they could attend, but the court wanted to speed things along and so they went ahead without the Lees. They did offer them to video conference in, but the appellate court found that that was not sufficient.

So really this is just a do over of that hearing, and most people are saying that this is really just proceedural. At this point, Adnan does not have to go back to prison, pending the results of the new hearing.

I wrote an issue all about Adnan a while back, right after his release. I'll admit, as I did then, that I wasn't super well versed in the case. I'd listened to Serial when it came out of course, and I figured it was likely that he was an innocent guy.

After Adnan's release, and that issue, I started looking into it a bit more. And one of my favourite podcasts, crime weekly, did a DEEP ass dive on the case. And, I'll just say, I am far less convinced of Adnan's innocence now than I was before...

But what do I know?

If you have opinions on the case, weak or strong, please share them with me!

Worst of the week

This horrific story comes out of Canada. Vancouver in fact. 37 year old Paul Schmidt was stabbed to death in front of a Starbucks, as his wife and 3 year old daughter watched in horror.

And what did Paul do to provoke such violence from 32 year old Inderdeep Singh Gosal? He'd  asked Inderdeep not to vape so close to his 3 year old daughter.

After what sounds like a silly little spat, a 3 YEAR OLD GIRL is now fatherless. And she will have to live with the absolute trauma that will no doubt result from witnessing that, on what was supposed to be a fun Sunday afternoon with her parents.

You truly never know what the stranger beside you is capable of.
