So this week Carole Baskin was hitting us up to claim that her ex-husband is in fact still alive and kicking in Costa Rica. So far this claim is unsubstantiated. What a world we live in you guys.

I also just wanted to say thank you so much to those of you who message me with positive things to say about the news letter, negative things about the news letter, suggestions, or challenges to my thoughts and theories. That is 100% the point of all of this.

This week I put out the second part of our series on Robert Hansen, Alaska's most prolific serial killer, otherwise known as The Butcher, Baker. I want to shout out this blog that I found by Leland. ‍Alec Baldwin charged with manslaughter

Yesterday news broke that Alec Baldwin would be charged with manslaughter in the death of Halyna Hutchins, the cinematographer on the set of Rust. It was shocking to hear that something like this had happened on the set of a movie big enough to star Alec Baldwin. Maybe some of you don't know this about me, but I'm an actor by trade. I've been working in film and television for almost 15 years. I've been taking a bit of a breather while I have little kids, but the point is, I actually know a little bit about a scenario like this one.  I have personally worked on multiple sets where guns were used. And having those experiences, it is unfathomable that a tragedy like this occurred at all. It makes no sense. I'm sure there are differences is the regulations between American and Canadian sets, and what have you. But there are professionals whose only job is to safely choreograph weapon sequences, handle weapons, and make sure everyone follows protocol. I don't even understand how in the world a live round made it onto that set. There is definitely something super fishy about that whole ordeal, there was talk about multiple crew members walking off the job that very day. I don't have a qualified opinion as to whether or not Alec is the one who should be held responsible for Halya's death. But someone should be.It will be fascinating to see where this goes, and what Alec's defence is. Halya's family has already settled a lawsuit against the production and it looks like they intended to continue filming. ‍

A podcast recommendation ‍

At the suggestion of one of you guys, I listened to a podcast called Undetermined. It's only a few episodes about a single case, and I found it to be quite good. The case is of 43 year old Jessica Easterly who was found dead not far from her own home. It is currently unsolved, and as the title implies her death has been labeled undetermined, which has pretty much put the case at a stand still. The hosts of the show essentially point the finger at her husband (duh) because it absolutely seems like he's involved...I got through all 7 episodes in one day, although not sure I should be admitting that!And thank you to all who recommend shows, books, podcasts etc to me, keep them coming!

‍Brian Walsh charged

This week Brian Walsh has been charged with murder and improper disinterment of a body. (Disinterment is the act of digging something out of the ground, in this case a body). It appears that the arrest was based on DNA evidence as well at Brian's internet search history which included these searches:

"Can you throw away body parts?"

"10 ways to dispose of a dead body"

"Hacksaw best to dismember"

"Can you be charged with murder without a body?"

"Can you identify a body with broken teeth?"

"What happens to hair on a dead body?"

"Can baking soda mask or make a body smell good?"

So clearly this man has never seen a crime show....Traces of blood were also found in his car, as well as a plastic liner. Which is just awful. It's so obvious that he killed Ana and did something horrific with her body.  You can read more about this awful awful case here. Or literally anywhere else on the internet.
