Hello everyone!

It's almost Christmas and we are bearing down for a huge snowstorm. I hope everyone is safe and warm for the holidays and has a FAB Christmas!

Grim Weekly will be on pause for 2 weeks so I can have a little vacation with the fam. I'm hoping to work on some cool GW and podcast related things, but you know how these things go.

Happy Holidays!

My Pod

This week's episode was super different. I wanted to do something kind of fun for my final episode of the year. Originally I wanted to go through a few popular cases and give my takes, Jonbenet, Scott Peterson, Michael Peterson, Adnan Syed, some of those. But then I started getting into JBR and well, that was all I could do for one week. My episode is not so much a deep dive into the crime, as I'm sure most people are well aware of most aspects of this super popular case. Rather, I am arguing that the Ramsey's are innocent of any wrongdoing. Let me know what you think, both on the episode structure and the case itself! Check out on Youtube, Apple or Spotify. And maybe subscribe to us on youtube, if you want :)

No new trial for Scotty P

So, Scott Peterson has just been denied a new trial. He still has the opportunity to appeal this decision, so I doubt we've heard the last of ole Scotty P. The main issue here came down to one juror from the original trial named Rachelle Nice. Scott's defence team claimed that Rachelle failed to indicate that in 2000, she had filed a restraining order against her boyfriend's ex-girlfriend because she "feared for the safety of her unborn child".  They feel this biased Rachelle against Scott as this all falls under the domestic violence umbrella and she specifically left this situation out of her jury questionnaire. The judge recently ruled that "Rachelle's responses were not motivated by pre-existing or improper bias against Petitioner (Peterson) but instead were a combination of good faith misunderstanding of the questions and sloppiness in answering".There seems to be a lot of renewed interest in Scott Peterson online recently as people are still debating his guilt. It was pretty recently that Rabia Chaudry, who made a pretty big name for herself over the Adnan Syed case via her podcast called Undisclosed, created a new podcast and in the first episode declared that she thinks Scott Peterson is 100% innocent. Enraging many...

I have flip flopped a bit on this case, not going to lie, but recently I've been back on the Scott Peterson guilt train.  I feel like 99% of it comes down to the slew of eyewitnesses who claim they saw Laci walking in the neighbourhood when it was known that Scott had already left to go fishing. Thoughts???

Toronto continued

Fucked up things keep happening in this city of mine. This week, a group of 8 girls, 2 as young as 13, ganged up and killed a homeless man. What the hell you guys. They stabbed this man to death, as a group. In the middle of downtown.Nobody is being named but I will definitely be paying attention to this story as it unfolds in the international news.

Good news

In very non grim news, youtube's true crime sweetheart JCS just released a video!
