My Pod

This week's episode is part 3 of our Atlanta Child Murders series. This was my favourite so far, I love to talk courtroom drama. In this episode I went over Wayne's trial. The main evidence that the prosecution presented and a bit about how that evidence stood up post conviction. But as I said, there is still so much to this story, so please come back next week to discuss everything that had happened after the trial. I will answer, what became of the other cases, Wayne's appeals, and multiple alternate theories!Check out on Youtube, Apple or Spotify. And maybe subscribe to us on youtube, if you want :)

‍Still no suspects in the Idaho murders

What the hell?? How can there still be zero suspects? It is not easy to get away with this type of crime these days, there are cameras EVERYWHERE.There has been so much internet sleuth-age and rumours circulating in this case. I don't know about you, but I'm starting to get a bit worried that some of these people of the internet are going to take things too far. Again. Not to dump on an internet community, of which I like to think I am a part of. It's just that lately it seems like there are some people crossing boundaries. For example this or this. As is the case with everything, 99% of people are just observing, trying to piece things together and want the best for the victim's families. I just don't love getting lumped in with these crazies... and I just have a feeling that that is where this is heading... We'll see...

But anyways, for everyone else, here are some updates:Lots of rumours and speculation. There is a theory going around right now that one of the victims, Kaylee Goncalves may have had a stalker. Creepy AF that I had just been going on about stalkers... The police have yet to confirm this, but they also have not denied it. So we will wait and see. There was another rumour circulating that someone in the town was found to have skinned a dog, possibly alive. WTF. That is truly one of the most upsetting things I've ever heard, in while. The police have denied that this (alleged) incident had anything to do with the murders. And as of right now, they still have yet to find a murder weapon or a suspect. Just imagine, there is someone (or multiple people) out there right now, who killed these kids, and who is just going about their lives, as the world searches for them.

I've been watching a series on CRAVE called Search Party. The main characters get involved in a crime (sorry trying not to spoil) and they did a good job at portraying this exact feeling. And it's funny. I do recommend the series. Here is some further info on the case:Global News article ‍Court TV (video)

‍‍Recos

‍Okay here is a semi-oldie, but it's really good:

This is The Serpent, on Netflix. Β It's a mini series which portrays the true story of Charles Sobhraj, a serial killer from the 70s who hunted tourists through out South East Asia (ish). Charles is quite a brutal serial killer and doesn't appear to be super well known in the true crime space, which is pretty shocking to me given the extent of his crimes. This guy is fraud CITY, think Tinder-swindler, but with murder... very brutal murder...This series is based on a book called On the Trail of the Serpent: The Life and Crimes of Charles Sobhraj. This books reads like fiction because Charles' life was insane. Β I used the book as the main source for my research when I did a four part series on ole Charles Sobhraj for the podcast. You can watch that starting with part 1. The series does a really good job at sticking to the facts. Obviously like any series based on a true story they veer a little for the sake of a narrative, but overall it's pretty much what happened/ The one gripe I have with the series, Jenna Coleman's french accent. 2/10 girl sorry...
