My Pod

This week's episode is part 2 of our Atlanta Child Murders series. We talk a lot about Wayne Williams, who he is, how he came to be a suspect who was subsequently arrested for 2 of the murders.Wayne is such a fascinating character because he is SO polarizing. I've been spending a lot of time trying to learn about him, and who is on his side, and who isn't. I wouldn't say it's spilt 50/50, but to this day he has a lot of supporters. We will get more into that in the next episode!Check out on Youtube, Apple or Spotify. And maybe subscribe to us on youtube, if you want :)

More on stalking

Last week I recommended a Netflix show called I Am a Stalker. Since then I finished all the episodes, and stand by that recommendation. Solid show. But I wanted talk a bit more about stalkers this week. My question of the week was asking if you had ever experienced stalking. And a surprising amount of you said you had, or had experienced stalking-like behaviours.  I would fall into the latter category. I have definitely had a few encounters with people who displayed some, I would say obsessive, behaviours. And although I wouldn't categorize any of that as full blown stalking, it was still scary! That is why the idea of actual stalking is SO frightening to me. I've seen a number of statistics on the subject, but it looks like approximately 16% of women and 7% of men become victims of stalking. The scary part is that stalking doesn't often come with a long prison sentence. So there is often a constant threat of re victimization. One of my newsletter patrons sent me this video in response to my last newsletter.

When I watched it, I thought, no, this can't be real. This person's behaviour is INSANE! But according to this article, this person has been arrested and is facing charges of aggravated stalking and harassment.

Michelle update

And here we have confirmation that Michelle Knotek had been released. For those who haven't listened to our episode on Michelle you can listen/watch here. She is truly a monster. But finally an actual article has come out confirming that she has indeed been released. Watch the fuck out Raymond, Washington...

What is an edged weapon?

So normally I would include something like this in my news section, but this quadruple homicide sounds particularly gruesome and unsolved.4 University of Idaho students were found dead in a house near the U of I campus in Moscow, Idaho. The four students were Ethan Chapin (20), Xana Kernodle (20), Madison Mogen (21) and Kaylee Goncalves (21).  All 4 appeared to be close friends and they were all members of various sororities and fraternities.

Earlier this week police confirmed in a press release that all 4 students were killed with an "edged weapon", which is a weird way to say knife apparently. In the press release they also said that they had no suspect, but that they believed this was an isolated attack, and that there was no imminent danger to the rest of the community.  Sounds a wee bit contradictory to me, but okay...Now they are walking that back a bit and saying, “We cannot say there’s no threat to the community and as we have stated, please stay vigilant, report any suspicious activity and be aware of your surroundings at all times”. They are also saying that there were two other roommates present in the home at the time of the murders. And they were not held hostage or injured at all. According to police, they are co-operating fully. Here are some of the most recent articles I could find:ABC news article CNN article
