Another week has come and gone, and this week, it looks like there is a major update on one of the cases we covered on the podcast. Details (although not many) are found later in the letter!

I've been super sick this week and am behind on EVERYTHING, so today's letter is a bit short. Hit me up with any suggestions for podcasts, shows or books to check out as the holidays approach, I anticipate a tiny bit more free time. Hoping would be more accurate...

My Pod

This week I started a series on the Atlanta child murders. I've been wanting to go over this case since I began this podcast, so I am thrilled that we're finally getting to it. This case was featured in season 2 of Mindhunter, which I assume most of you watched or read. This case is technically, kind of solved, although there is a lot of debate...Very upsetting that I was sick when I recorded the first episode, so I sound like garbage... but if you can stick it through, I promise I will be better next week!Check out on Youtube, Apple or Spotify. And maybe subscribe to us on youtube, if you want :)

So, I was alerted to this new Netflix series called I Am a Stalker.  I kind of appreciate the no nonsense title. The documentary series does in fact, interview people who are stalkers. And their victims. Stalking is a fascinating and TERRIFYING phenomenon. It can seem innocuous, but stalking can be extremely serious. Stalking is often tied to domestic violence and has led to homicide in many cases. It's also difficult to prove, and doesn't generally come with harsh sentences unless there are other factors. But can you think of anything more psychologically traumatizing???So far I've only watched the first three episodes and I would say it's worth a watch. The second episode specifically is very brutal. The filmmakers were able to get some subjects who were super open to talk about their experiences. And this includes both the stalkers and the stalk-ees. It's really interesting to hear more of the reality of the situation from the victim's perspective and then hear from the perpetrator and see how their accounts differ. And they differ a lot unsuprisingly.I've done quite a bit of research on stalkers in the past because I find the topic so fascinating. It turns out that there are many different types of stalkers and the mental health field has classified them into groups in a few different ways.  This article goes through 7 different types of stalkers.  Here is a study from the late 90s that categorizes 145 stalkers a bit differently. Read up you guys, you never know!!

Michelle Knotek is out (I'm pretty sure)

Incase you missed our 2 part series on Michelle Knotek you can watch them here.  This woman is one of the most evil, sadistic mothers I've ever heard of. And I've heard of a few. For further reading on Michelle, I'd also suggest the book If You Tell: A True Story of Murder, Family Secrets and the Unbreakable bond of Sisterhood by Gregg Olsen.Okay, I really don't know much. But I got a comment on one of my instagram photos from someone who told me that she got out. She DM'd me some proof of that, and then I went searching for more. I checked the wikipedia page for Michelle Knotek and it does say she was released on November 8, 2022.

By now Michelle should be about 68 years old. Who knows how she is physically, if she's still claiming to have cancer or not. But she is a dangerous woman. She was very physically violent to all of her victims but also mentally and emotionally abusive. I would have no confidence in her ability to be a nice, harmless older lady. This woman thrives on hurting others.I am definitely keeping an eye out for ANY new information, and if anything comes out I will post on my Grim Weekly Instagram page. Please send me links if you see anything!

New in true crime news

  • So there is a new Casey Anthony doc airing this month on Peacock. WTF.  Everyone is shitting all over her in the comments (lol). My guess is that it will be absolutely DRAGGED on social media, but it will get a lot of views.
